The soul of earth cries out.
Slowly she is engulfed.
A slow death to her and all on her.
If she could but stop man’s folly.
A deep rumble
The bubble burst forth.
Waves climb high to smash the shore.
Mountaintops spew forth ash and rock
Drought and flooding to stem the tide.
The human virus still spreads.
Aids, Ebola, Spanish flu, Black Death all in vain.
Within the next hundred or two hundred years
pods will erupt from our dead world like spores.
To spread the human virus throughout the universe.
